Running out of BENGHAZI !!!!!!!

Here's the landing-page summary, which often differs enough from the lede to be worth preserving on its own:

SECRET MISSION TO NAB Benghazi terror suspect Ahmed Abu Khattala was months in the making, but the Delta Force operators who carried out the mission did so 'efficiently,' completing it in 32 minutes, Fox News confirms.

You can see why this story finally made it to the top of the page. Compare it, for example, to Tuesday's top BENGHAZI!!!!!! story

Hillary Clinton, in a sit-down interview with Fox News, suggested Tuesday that she had doubts from the outset about whether the Benghazi terror attack was triggered by a protest over an anti-Islam film -- though her State Department pushed that narrative for days.

That'll be the "false narrative" beloved of Fox reportage and commentary for the past year and change. Having already noted that foxnews.com promoted the same false narrative the day after the BENGHAZI!!!!!! attack, may we quote the particularly flavorful story from Fox Radio* on Sept. 12, 2012?

The US Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was killed along with three other embassy aides at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. Under attack by an angry and armed mob who were protesting a film made in the U.S. that ridiculed Islam.

This protester had a warning for America:

(Protester) “Don’t make our people angry because they will kill, they will fight, they will do such a situation.”

The fear that these protests also happening in Cairo will spread elsewhere as the movie goes viral. There’s reports of protests being planned in the Algerian capital while Afghanistan has banned the Youtube site showing the movie to stop it spreading there.

It's kind of hard to tell if you've been reading Fox, but that seems to correlate with what the chief evil terror suspect himself seems to have been saying:

On the day of the attack, Islamists in Cairo had staged a demonstration outside the United States Embassy there to protest an American-made online video mocking Islam, and the protest culminated in a breach of the embassy’s walls — images that flashed through news coverage around the Arab world.

As the attack in Benghazi was unfolding a few hours later, Mr. Abu Khattala told fellow Islamist fighters and others that the assault was retaliation for the same insulting video, according to people who heard him.

In an interview a few days later, he pointedly declined to say whether an offensive online video might indeed warrant the destruction of the diplomatic mission or the killing of the ambassador. “From a religious point of view, it is hard to say whether it is good or bad,” he said.

So the first leg of the BENGHAZI!!!!!! scandal has well and truly fallen away. If Hillary Clinton actually went back and forth on whether the video had a role, she would have been at least a step ahead of the crack national security team at Fox. Which leads to the second leg of the stool: were the Kenyan and his lackeys (assuming they weren't playing golf or raising campaign money or sacrificing white babies to Great Cthulhu) covering up the presence of TERRORISM!!!! to advance their reelection chances?

Sad news. "Terrorism" and "episodically pissed-off" are not mutually exclusive conditions. The people who are more likely to get you killed are the ones who tell you that it ain't terrorism if it isn't centrally directed, run by brown monotheists and aimed solely at freedom-loving Amurricans. That is not how terrorism has worked historically, and it's a bad predictive model for how terrorism will work in the future. People who think that way are dangerous and stupid and should not be allowed near the levers of power.

Similar things can be said of, oh, the chairman of the special BENGHAZI!!!!!! committee, as well as most if not all of the folks making decisions about national security coverage at the Fair 'n' Balanced Network. The responsible thing for the so-called "mainstream" media to do is to mock and ridicule them. Children should laugh outside their doors. In old-fashioned terrorism** terms, it's time the oxygen of publicity was shut off.

* Watch out for strange malware. Fox doesn't seem to be very careful about such things.
** When white monotheists were putting bombs in bars frequented by other white monotheists, if you're scoring along at home.
